This is a great sale to Europe, in which Qatar Airways’ Auckland to Doha flight will also become the longest flight in the world.
If you can brave the 17½-hour journey to Doha, you’ll have just one stop on your way to over 30 European destinations for as little as $1370.
Qatar Airways is a full-service Gulf airline with an excellent reputation, placing as the world’s second-best airline (behind Emirates) in this year’s Skytrax World Airline Awards.
Arrive: Over 30 European cities (full list)

Auckland to Pisa
Auckland to Madrid
Only $10 more return to choose Madrid as the destination, which also comes with the opportunity to fly on one of Qatar’s brand-new Airbus A350s.
Open jaw from Auckland to London, then Madrid to Auckland
As the cost for the itinerary is dictated by the departure taxes of the airport you return from, we suggest flying into a more expensive airport such as London Heathrow (the UK has high taxes), travel through Europe and depart from somewhere like Madrid (lower taxes) for a similar cost to just flying to Madrid return.

Booking link: Search for the flights using Google Flights, then book through one of the booking links.
We found when it actually comes to booking, Expedia was more reliable than Qatar Airways’ website at returning the correct flight selections, particularly when searching for the multi-city ticket.
Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. Fares may disappear quickly, so we suggest booking as soon as you are confident in your travel dates.
