Tower Insurance are offering 50 bonus Airpoints Dollars for each new House, Contents or Comprehensive Car policy you take out until 26 November 2017.
New and existing customers are eligible to take part in this promotion.
This coincidentally coincides with the bonus Fly Buys points promotion currently on offer with State, which is a bit different in that it is targeted, and only available for new customers.
A maximum of 150 bonus Airpoints Dollars can be earned under this offer, which is the equivalent of three new policies.
Bonus Airpoints Dollars will be given to qualifying customers within 30 days of receipt of your first policy payment.
Full terms and conditions on the offer can be found here.

Our commentary is around the ability to earn Airpoints Dollars on their products. It is not easy to make general comments on whether Tower Insurance have good insurance policies, so that’s not an area we’ll be touching on.
How much will I earn?
Tower Insurance will give you 1 Airpoints Dollar, or part thereof, for every $100 of premium paid, not including levies, taxes, and fees.
This is an effective 1% return on the cost of your premium, on the basis of 1 Airpoints Dollar being equal to $1 NZD when put towards flights with Air New Zealand.
If you’re already with Tower Insurance, register your Airpoints account number here, or call them on 0800 847 010.
Obviously with something as important as insurance, you shouldn’t consider selecting an insurer or changing to a new one just for a few Airpoints Dollars – the coverage needs to be right for you.
However if you were already thinking of joining Tower Insurance, or you’re an existing policyholder, it’s a no-brainer that you should earn Airpoints Dollars on your policy spend.
Tower Insurance also accept most major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) with no transaction fees, which provides a good opportunity to double dip and earn points through card spend too.
The highest earning Airpoints card currently available is the American Express Airpoints Platinum, where you’ll earn 1 Airpoints Dollar for every $59 spent.
