Sudima Hotels & Resorts are offering triple Airpoints Dollars for bookings made by the 30 June, for stays completed by 31 December 2018.
You will earn 3 Airpoints Dollars per $15 NZD spent, which works out to be an effective 20% return on the cost of your stay.
To be eligible, you must book direct with Sudima online or via phone at 0800 783 462. You must also present your Airpoints card or quote your membership number at check-in.
Sudima Hotels & Resorts are a home-grown hotel chain, with five properties in New Zealand:
- Sudima Auckland Airport Hotel
- Sudima Christchurch Airport Hotel
- Sudima Lake Rotorua
- Sudima Christchurch City
- Sudima Rotorua
Several new hotels are scheduled to open in coming years.
Earning Frequent Flyer Points
The group are partnered with two frequent flyer programmes:
- Air New Zealand Airpoints: 1 APD per $15 NZD eligible spend
- Qantas Frequent Flyer: 1,000 Qantas Points per stay
The APD earn rate is the equivelent of almost 4 points per $1 spend, per my conversion method that helps to equalise Airpoints with other frequent flyer programmes.
To earn points, you must book an ‘eligible stay’, which means a booking made direct with Sudima online or via phone at 0800 783 462.
You must quote your frequent flyer number when booking, and produce your membership card upon check-in.
If booking online, you can enter your frequent flyer number into the following section on the checkout page:
Your points should appear in your account within three months of the stay being made.
Sudima Hotels & Resorts accept most major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners). You will incur a 2% transaction fee regardless of whether you book a pre-paid rate online, or settle your bill at the hotel.
Paying with a card like the American Express Airpoints Platinum will help to counteract some of Sudima’s transaction fee. This is because you’ll earn 1 Airpoints Dollar for every $59 spent, which is an effective 1.69% return on your spend.
For a small chain, Sudima are certainly punching above their weight in terms of loyalty rewards, in a clear move to lock down business travellers.
Watch out for their frequent bonus point promotions, which can provide a healthy offset to the cost of your stay.
