Aucklanders, ‘Restaurant Month’ is back, and American Express New Zealand are offering another statement credit promotion to encourage you get you out of the house, and into a restaurant.
Amex cardholders can receive a $10 statement credit when spending a minimum of $20 at up to 5 participating CBD restaurants.
Also, if you present your American Express Card at Street Eats on the 19 August, you’ll receive 2 complimentary entries, valued at $5 each.
American Express New Zealand ran a similar promotion last year, but have dropped the spending threshold from $25 to $20, making it an even easier win for little effort.
The promotion requires the card holder to register in order to be eligible. I would suggest acting fast though as the offer is only available to the first 5,000 cards registered.
Make sure you and your family register their supplementary cards – the primary cardholder registering on their own will not be enough!
Apart from the reduced minimum spend threshold, what’s great about this offer is that the $10 credit can be claimed 5 times per card, however only one credit can be claimed per participating restaurant per card.
Any individual with multiple cards can register each one (if you get in fast enough), just remember all credits must however be claimed during Restaurant Month, between 1st to 31st August.
All the American Express Cards we have covered here at Point Hacks are eligible for these offers, if they are registered and used before the expiry date.
While $10 may not seem like a big deal, free money is free money, and given all it takes is one minute to register and claim multiple credits per card, there’s really nothing to lose. It’s also a great opportunity to visit Street Eats with a friend or your significant other!
